📋 Description

• Provide legal and regulatory support for day-to-day mortgage lending and servicing operations • Assist with issue-specific remediation projects, including documenting rationale and actions taken • Support review and response to escalated homeowner disputes and complaints • Draft or review customer-facing documents and homeowner communications • Support senior counsel in managing interactions with clients, regulators, and investors, including Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, Ginnie Mae, and state agencies • Assist in preparing responses to external exams and audits • Help identify risk areas and support mitigation efforts • Provide legal input on product and process development in collaboration with internal stakeholders • Help provide support for fair lending initiatives and HMDA reporting • Monitor servicing operations for compliance with applicable laws and investor requirements • Stay informed of regulatory changes and mortgage trends • Collaborate with teams across operations, product, and engineering

🎯 Requirements

• Licensed to practice law in at least one U.S. state • Minimum of 3 years of legal experience, preferably in a law firm or in-house legal department with a focus on mortgage, financial services, or regulatory matters • Minimum Education: Juris Doctor (JD)
