📋 Description
• Develop knowledge and expertise around the data tables across all areas of the business. • Write SQL queries, build dashboards, and conduct ad hoc analysis to help operational leaders understand business performance, make effective decisions, and identify root causes of results. • Assist with third-party audit, exam, and regulatory reporting by supporting timelines, contributing to data QA, and helping prepare clear outputs for partners and regulators. • Support the maintenance and improvement of Valon’s SLA reporting process. • Collaborate with other data analysts and data engineers to recommend and implement improvements to data models.
🎯 Requirements
• 4–7 years of full-time work experience in data analytics or business intelligence, ideally at a mortgage servicer, financial institution, or other regulated industry. • Strong proficiency in SQL (Python skills a plus). • Proficiency in Google Sheets and/or Microsoft Excel. • Experience with data visualization tools (Hex, Looker, or equivalent). • Demonstrated problem-solving ability and a willingness to learn quickly. • Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional data team members.
