• Team Leadership: Direct and oversee the performance of both managerial and non-managerial staff within the servicing transfers department. • Set Prioritization: Work with executive leadership to understand the priority order of incoming new projects, ensuring the team is properly staffed to handle all incoming business. • ValonOS Tooling Improvements: Coordinate with Valon Technology teams to ensure that ValonOS tools are constantly improved to support servicing transfer processes and priorities. • Direct Internal Technical Builds: Communicate the priorities for the internal technical support team within servicing transfers to ensure preparedness for incoming business. • Develop Talent: Inspire team members and foster a growth environment where ideas for improvement are welcomed and encouraged. • Client Engagement: Attend new and existing client presentations to demonstrate and answer questions regarding servicing transfer processes. • Timely Execution: Ensure the completion of servicing transfers and servicing releases within established timelines to maintain operational efficiency. • SOP Ownership: Review all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure servicing processes are clearly documented and up to date, working to identify and resolve any gaps. • Training Material Design: Oversee the development and design of effective training materials to facilitate staff onboarding and ongoing education on servicing transfer processes. • Quality Control: Establish and oversee quality control functions to evaluate the accuracy and quality of work completed by the team, implementing corrective actions as necessary. • Team Communication: Conduct regular team meetings to communicate upcoming priorities, deadlines, and departmental updates, ensuring all team members are aligned and informed. • Process Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement within the servicing transfer framework and implement strategies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. • Performance Monitoring: Monitor team performance metrics and provide feedback to foster professional development and meet departmental goals. • Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure servicing transfer team processes are adequate and complete.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred • 5+ years of experience at a mortgage servicing company • 10+ years of experience in the mortgage industry • 5+ years of management experience • Deep understanding of mortgage servicing concepts, including but not limited to: mortgage loan documents, data fields, and terminology • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) • Excellent critical thinking and logical reasoning abilities • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail • Strong people management skills
