📋 Description

• Serve as a primary escalation contact for Voice Network Operations Center (VNOC) • Operate Asterisk PBX, call management systems, and IVRs located in diverse geographic regions • Provide expertise in VoIP-based technologies primarily focused on delivering carrier services to hospitality and retail environments • Perform design work that incorporates industry best practices for hospitality and enterprise customers • Function as a technical lead for projects requiring VoIP technologies • Coordinate proper installation, configuration, and testing of VoIP components • Create and maintain documentation to support the implementation and management of VoIP technologies • Collaborate with engineering function to ensure that designs are in line with the needs of the current and future requirements from our customers, network platforms, and security compliance • Engage and manage external vendors as appropriate to enhance the team’s capabilities • Other duties and responsibilities, as assigned • This position participates in an on-call rotation and may provide support off hours as required • This position may require up to 20% travel

🎯 Requirements

• 2+ years’ experience implementing, troubleshooting, and maintaining VoIP systems • Demonstrated knowledge with telephone networks – POTS and VoIP • Demonstrated knowledge with telephony standards and protocols – H.323, MGCP, ISDN, SIP, RTP • Demonstrated knowledge with IP networks and troubleshooting (VoIP, NAT Traversal, STUN, etc.) • Demonstrated knowledge programming and scripting (BASH / Python / JavaScript / PHP) • Demonstrated knowledge working in Linux-based open-source environments and platforms • Strong technical, leadership, and communication skills • Demonstrate the ability to lead complex projects in a cross functional team environment • Demonstrate the ability to articulate ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences • Ability to independently lift and carry 35 lbs. • Ability to hear ordinary conversations and phone communications.
