📋 Description

• Provide client-centered and culturally responsive therapy to couples and families across diverse relationship structures and life stages • Engage all relevant family members/partners in treatment planning, goal-setting, and psychoeducation • Conduct comprehensive relational and systemic assessments (e.g., family dynamics, communication patterns, attachment history) and create individualized treatment plans • Deliver evidence-based, trauma-informed interventions tailored to couples and family systems (e.g., EFT, Gottman Method, structural or systemic family therapy) • Facilitate difficult conversations and conflict resolution while maintaining a safe, neutral therapeutic environment • Respond to crises (e.g., domestic conflict, safety concerns, disclosures) with empathy, prioritizing safety and stabilization for all parties • Maintain timely, accurate, and clinically appropriate documentation for individual and joint sessions • Collaborate with individual therapists, psychiatrists, and other providers involved in a client's or family's care to ensure coordinated treatment • Participate in individual supervision, case consultation, and team collaboration • Stay current with couples/family therapy best practices, continuing education, and regulatory requirements • Support families and couples with resources and referrals to help them meet treatment goals • Provide timely, sensitive communication with clients while maintaining appropriate boundaries around confidentiality in multi-client cases

🎯 Requirements

• Master’s in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field • Independent licensure (or license eligible) in Massachusetts: LCSW, LICSW, LMHC, LMFT, or equivalent • Experience providing therapy to couples and/or families with a strong foundation in evidence-based, trauma-informed interventions • Proficiency with EHR and clinical documentation • Training or certification in couples/family-focused modalities (e.g.,Gottman Method, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), structural or systemic family therapy (preferred) • Experience supporting couples and families through separation, divorce, reconciliation, or major relational transitions (preferred)
