📋 Description

• Lead the design and delivery of Azure architectures across infrastructure, platform and application layers • Build Azure landing zones aligned to the Cloud Adoption Framework, including management groups, policies, RBAC, subscription models and cost controls • Plan and execute migration projects such as on-prem to Azure lift-and-shift, staged migration approaches, application modernisation and identity migration to Entra ID • Integrate line-of-business applications into Azure environments, ensuring stable networking, identity, data flow and operational continuity • Produce architect-level documentation, including HLDs, LLDs, technical decision records, runbooks, implementation plans and handover documents • Use ARM, Bicep or Terraform to build automated and repeatable infrastructure deployments • Apply Zero Trust and security best practices across Conditional Access, Defender, Identity Protection and least-privilege RBAC • Design hybrid connectivity models including VNETs, subnets, VPN or ExpressRoute, DNS, routing, firewalls and private endpoints • Implement and support disaster recovery and business continuity solutions such as Azure Site Recovery, Azure Backup and Veeam • Support Azure Virtual Desktop deployments, including FSLogix configuration, scaling optimisation and profile management • Oversee Modern Workplace dependencies when required, such as Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, Intune, Autopilot, MDM/MAM and Group Policy migrations • Work closely with technical teams and project managers to ensure architecture is delivered on time and in accordance with the design • Lead workshops, requirements discovery sessions and architecture reviews with both technical and non-technical stakeholders • Provide support during cutovers and Go-Live windows, including occasional work outside normal business hours

🎯 Requirements

• Microsoft certified, ideally as an Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Administrator Associate or Security Engineer Associate • Familiarity with established architectural frameworks, such as the Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework or TOGAF • Proven experience delivering Azure solutions that take into account scalability, performance, security, governance and cost optimisation • Strong experience leading Azure migration projects, including re-hosting, re-platforming and modernisation activities • Understanding of cloud-native and hybrid Active Directory environments, including GPOs, DFS, DHCP, certificate services and identity models • Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code using ARM, Bicep or Terraform, alongside automation using PowerShell • Awareness of enterprise-grade tooling, such as Cisco Umbrella, Defender, Trust Layer, Azure Backup, Azure Site Recovery, Veeam and monitoring platforms • Experience working with Azure Virtual Desktop, including FSLogix and performance tuning • Experience supporting Microsoft 365 services and migrations, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, Intune, Autopilot and domain join to Azure AD • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
