📋 Description

• Definition of Design Tokens: Create and manage the Design Tokens foundation. This includes defining patterns (color styles, spacing, borders, etc.), creating naming conventions, and ensuring tokens are applicable and flexible across different contexts. • Create Components: Design, maintain, and evolve the core component library in Figma, as well as govern team libraries. • Accessibility Guidelines: Integrate accessibility as a core pillar from the conception of tokens and components. Define and apply accessibility best practices (WCAG) and ensure the Design System is inclusive for all users. • Testing and Validation: Perform technical tests on tokens and components, focusing on delivery quality, and conduct usability testing with product users. • Handoff: Prepare and facilitate the delivery of components and guidelines to development teams and provide the necessary information for clear and robust documentation. • Documentation: Create and maintain user-friendly, accessible documentation for all audiences (designers, developers, product managers, etc.), explaining how to use the Design System components, their benefits, and guiding principles. • Release and Communication: Plan and execute communication strategies to launch new versions of the Design System, components, or guidelines, ensuring information reaches the teams. • Enablement and Training: Develop and deliver workshops, talks, and training materials to onboard and upskill Design System users, from new hires to existing teams. • Feedback Collection: Establish channels to gather feedback from stakeholders using the Design System, understanding their needs, pain points, and suggestions for improvement. • Improvements and Evolution: Analyze feedback and adoption metrics to propose experiments and hypotheses that drive strategic improvements and the evolution of the Design System.

🎯 Requirements

• Communication: Clear, concise, and strategic communication skills; able to educate teams, document decisions, and engage with different stakeholders effectively. • Team Collaboration: Act as a bridge between technical teams (design, development) and Product/Engineering areas, facilitating governance and promoting agility in workflows. • Componentization & Figma: Proficiency in Figma, with experience designing, maintaining, and updating components, as well as applying Design Tokens and variables. • Design Tokens (Structure): Ability to define design tokens in a semantic, themable manner that adheres to the existing implemented structure. • Accessibility: Solid knowledge of digital accessibility practices and guidelines (WCAG). • Documentation: Capability to create documentation based on the defined component behaviors. • Nice-to-haves: Basic front-end knowledge to ensure feasible interfaces and a well-aligned handoff to development teams; experience applying digital accessibility (WCAG) practices to the construction and evolution of tokens and components; experience using AI or creating automations to optimize tasks, reduce operational effort, and make design workflows more efficient.
