📋 Description

• Oversee all accounting operations of the California joint venture. • Lead the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP. • Maintain accuracy and integrity of the general ledger and chart of accounts. • Supervise and develop the accounting team responsible for accounts payable, payroll, general ledger, revenue recognition, and fixed assets. • Lead inventory cost accounting and ERP implementation. • Establish and maintain robust internal controls over financial reporting. • Manage month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure timeliness and accuracy. • Implement and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and systems to improve efficiency and financial accuracy. • Research and implement complex accounting standards and ensure compliance with tax reporting.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required. • 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a manager level position or higher. • Strong background in U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting, and public company accounting. • Experience in a Big 4 or national public accounting firm strongly preferred. • Prior experience in cannabis, manufacturing, and consumer packaged goods preferred. • Exceptional technical accounting knowledge and analytical ability. • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex accounting topics to non-accountants. • High attention to detail, integrity, and a commitment to continuous improvement. • Proficiency in ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics preferred) and advanced Excel skills.
