📋 Description

• Prepare journal entries, analyses and account reconciliations • Help maintain and improve month-end close processes, including monthly balance sheet reconciliations • Ensure compliance with GAAP • Identify opportunities to leverage automation, AI-enabled tools, and process improvements to reduce manual work, improve accuracy, and accelerate the month-end close process. • Respond to information requests and assist with the annual financial statement audit • Analyze financial statements and GL accounts to ensure monthly, quarterly and annual fluctuations are in line with expectations and documented • Prepare operational and ad hoc reporting for additional analysis associated with financial statement areas assigned • Assist accounting leadership as needed

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance • 3-4 years of experience preferably with a public accounting/private accounting mix • CPA preferred • Experience with one or more complex areas of accounting including but not limited to revenue recognition, inventory, stock-based compensation, debt/equity financing, business combinations or investments • Experience leveraging automation, AI tools, or advanced technology solutions to improve accounting processes, reporting, reconciliations, or close efficiency preferred. • Ability to read and analyze financial statements/reports • Comfort with ambiguity and lack of formally defined processes • Public company exposure preferred (either through Audit or industry background) • Strong problem solving and analytical skills • Proficient in Microsoft Excel • Highly organized and detail oriented • Comfort working in a fully remote setting
