📋 Description

• Act as a trusted adviser on data security and governance for AI initiatives across client engagements • Assess and advise on AI-system data security risks, including data exposure, access control, model and data lineage, third-party and cloud data handling, and secure data architecture • Bring a data engineering perspective to governance work based on data warehousing and data platform experience • Guide clients and stakeholders through emerging AI-related risks in plain, actionable terms • Translate technical risk into decisions leadership can act on • Participate in and help close new business by joining sales conversations, building client trust pre-contract, and converting relationships into signed engagements • Build visible, ongoing trust with clients • Contribute measurably to closing 1–2 new client engagements within the first 6 months

🎯 Requirements

• Experience consulting and leading engagements independently, while aligning with account team strategy • Data engineering background with hands-on experience leading data warehousing initiatives • Deep understanding of AI data security practices, including access management, data classification, secure architecture, cloud data security, and risk assessment • Comfort pitching ideas and closing deals as part of a wider account team • Excellent communication skills in English for candidates based in Portugal • Excellent communication skills in both English and German for candidates based in Germany or Austria • Some exposure to legal and compliance work (nice to have) • Experience across multiple industries or regulatory environments in the DACH or EU market (nice to have) • Proven network or reputation in AI governance/security (nice to have) • Experience with cloud infrastructure as an engineer or architect (nice to have)
