📋 Description

• Collaborate with stakeholders to determine requirements for product components and incorporate feedback into designs and solutions • Translate functional requirements into system designs and communicate component interactions • Design and develop product components, refine code plans, and lead design reviews • Contribute to project estimation and escalate issues that may cause delays • Create, implement, and maintain extensible, reusable code • Drive code quality through metrics and best practices • Apply debugging tools to resolve moderately complex issues and identify automation opportunities • Lead code reviews and provide feedback to team members • Create complex test plans, identify test gaps, and address defects • Use data analysis and monitoring standards to identify patterns and defects • Respond to incidents during on-call rotations and assist with incident response and resolution • Build, enhance, and identify developer tools • Seek new knowledge, adapt to technical trends, improve product performance, and recommend resources to engineers

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years of relevant work experience with a bachelor’s degree, or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD), or 0 years of work experience with a PhD, OR 8+ years of relevant work experience • Proven experience designing and executing large-scale portfolio migration strategies for mission-critical financial platforms • Strong expertise in Golang and distributed systems processing high-volume workloads • Experience building and operating data-intensive migration pipelines with a focus on performance, resiliency, and observability • Hands-on experience with AWS services such as S3, SQS, SNS, DynamoDB, EventBridge, KMS, and Valkey • Strong understanding of asynchronous processing patterns, event-driven architectures, and large-scale data movement • Experience troubleshooting complex production incidents involving distributed systems and cross-service dependencies • Demonstrated ability to lead technical design and execution of complex engineering initiatives spanning multiple teams • Experience balancing migration velocity, operational risk, and customer impact in highly regulated financial environments • Strong communication skills and ability to engage directly with clients, internal stakeholders, and engineering teams during migration planning and execution • Experience with payment processing, card issuing, digital banking, or other mission-critical financial systems is highly desirable
