📋 Description

• Take on a leadership role and shape outstanding customer experiences. • Recruit, manage, and develop a geographically dispersed team of Field Service Engineers and Automation Engineers across the US. • Oversee the planning and scheduling of all US field service operations. • Support escalated cases as a 1st and 2nd level contact, offering hands-on troubleshooting for X-ray NDT systems. • Ensure a smooth customer experience and foster long-term relationships. • Manage daily operations, define team processes, and guide technicians on complex system issues. • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and ensure service excellence and compliance with quality and safety standards. • Actively drive the expansion of the service business by promoting established service products, contract agreements, and spare parts programs. • Collaborate with VisiConsult’s German headquarters and global service organization.

🎯 Requirements

• Completed technical degree or equivalent qualification (e.g. technician/ mechatronics or electrical engineering). • Experience with X-ray or other NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) systems is a strong plus. • Proven track record of managing field service or technical support teams in a remote setting for at least 2 years. • Strong background in technical troubleshooting, scheduling, and customer-facing roles within machinery or complex industrial systems. • Experience in promoting and selling technical service products, contract agreements, and spare parts. • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to lead remote teams, support diverse customer profiles, and align with international colleagues. • Fluent English is required, German and/or Spanish are a significant asset. • Independent, structured, and solution-oriented work style to drive operational excellence – with a proactive, results-driven approach and the ability to manage complex technical and organizational challenges. • Willingness to travel occasionally (approx. 20–30%) across the Americas for customer visits, escalations, and team meetings. • Experience working from a home office with a reliable setup.
