📋 Description
• Report directly to the CTO as the primary technical leader for in-house machine learning and AI agent development • Build and operate platforming and AI/ML Ops capabilities that enable teams to work quickly and reliably • Develop client-facing features leveraging machine learning and AI models • Work directly with the CEO and customers while contributing hands-on code • Plan and run initiatives spanning multiple quarters • Help team members grow their skills and careers while maintaining high performance standards • Contribute to a continuously improving and collaborative working environment
🎯 Requirements
• Track record of building and owning production machine learning systems end-to-end • Some experience using LLMs to create AI and agentic experiences is a plus • Prior experience managing a team of 5–10 engineers and AI/ML developers across hiring, coaching and development, and performance management • Strong architectural instincts and ability to reason about Python ML stacks and ReAct loops • Ability to make scalable design choices at code level • Hands-on backend engineering experience in the cloud, particularly AWS • Knowledge of core CI/CD practices • Advanced degree in a relevant field, such as computer science, physics, or electrical engineering, or equivalent professional experience • Desire to continuously learn
