📋 Description

• Architect, operate, and evolve large-scale ETL, streaming, and distributed data pipelines for vehicle telemetry and sensor data • Build scalable, cost-efficient, high-performance pipelines for analytical, streaming, and AI workloads • Evaluate, introduce, and integrate new data technologies to improve scalability, performance, and observability • Mentor engineers, provide technical guidance, and promote best practices in software and system design • Resolve ambiguous technical problems by structuring, prioritizing, and developing pragmatic, scalable solutions • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure a reliable and efficient data infrastructure • Develop a central data platform for vehicle intelligence, telemetry, and in-vehicle machine-learning applications across the fleet

🎯 Requirements

• Master's degree in Data Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field • More than 10 years of experience building and operating distributed data architectures • Experience with large-scale data systems using Spark or Databricks • Proven experience with Kubernetes, Kafka, and modern streaming technologies such as Kafka Streams, Spark Streaming, and Apache Flink • Strong understanding of event-driven architectures, streaming and batch processing models, and data ingestion from edge devices • Experience with geospatial data, vehicle telemetry, or IoT scaling is a plus • Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence through clear technical reasoning and constructive collaboration • High degree of autonomy and the ability to lead projects independently without close supervision • Fluent English and basic German skills
