• Our mission: We're making Africa the first cashless continent. • In Sub-Saharan Africa, many lack bank accounts due to high fees and distance to branches; Wave aims to provide accessible financial services. • We built a mobile app in Senegal in 2017 for cash deposit, withdrawal, P2P and business payments; now millions of users across six countries. • Our goal is to make Africa cashless and Wave invites you to contribute. • Wave’s Field Product team builds and maintains tools used by field operators to drive user growth. • Recent projects include improved geo-localisation of merchants, redesign of the Field App, supporting new country launches, consolidating field operators on the same app, and improving permission management. • In this role you’ll collaborate with Product, investigate feedback, drive technical design, pair with others for code reviews, and work with other Android engineers. • Our stack includes Python, GraphQL, Kotlin/Jetpack, Swift/SwiftUI, TypeScript/React, Postgres, GCP/Terraform, Kubernetes. • We’re a fast-growing team with in-country teams in Senegal, Côte d'Ivoire, Mali, Burkina Faso, The Gambia, and Uganda, plus remote team members worldwide. • Our salaries are competitive and transparent; for this role, salary up to 152,100 USD plus equity; benefits include health insurance, parental leave, etc.
🎯 Requirements
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience with minimum 2 years of it spent building Android applications. • Experience using Kotlin + Jetpack Compose in a published app (professional or personal projects are fine). • Fluent in English. French is a plus.
