• Provide legal advice and support on transactions, particularly those involving troubled assets, restructurings, bankruptcies, litigation, and portfolio administration. • Support the business in preparing for trial proceedings and settlement negotiations. • Work closely with lawyers and paralegals to ensure effective legal representation. • Assist in establishing in Corporate Governance activities. • Monitor regulatory environments to identify emerging compliance risks and requirements; develop strategic responses and guide cross-functional teams in implementing risk-based solutions aligned with business objectives. • Travel to US as needed for on-site requirements.
🎯 Requirements
• Law degree (Juris Doctor or international equivalent such as LLB or LLM); from a nationally accredited U.S. law school preferred. • 6-10 years of experience with law firm required, in-house desirable. • Strong knowledge of US federal state laws, regulations and licensing requirements related to residential and commercial mortgage lending and corporate governance. • Strong understanding of litigation processes, discovery, document management and legal filings. • Demonstrated ability to draft, review and negotiate legal documents with superior legal research and writing skills. • Able to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously. • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
