📋 Description

• Deliver practical training on the fundamentals and potential of AI in engineering • Teach AI-assisted working methods in the design process • Teach modern CAD workflows supported by AI • Teach Generative Design and automated design-variant generation • Teach AI-assisted decision support in product development • Teach AI-based error detection and quality assurance • Teach the evaluation and validation of AI-generated design results • Teach the successful integration of AI into existing development and design processes • Share knowledge in a practical, audience-focused manner as part of the “Smart Design: AI Expertise for CAD Professionals” qualification program • Clearly explain the complete design cycle, from requirements analysis and concept development through design, variant generation and optimization to evaluation and documentation

🎯 Requirements

• Completed degree or technical training in mechanical engineering, design engineering, product development or a comparable field • At least two years of professional experience in design, development or technical engineering • Very good knowledge of at least one of the following CAD systems: Autodesk Inventor, Autodesk Fusion, AutoCAD or SolidWorks • Experience with parametric design and modern CAD workflows • Solid understanding of product development and design processes in mechanical engineering • Practical experience using AI productively throughout the development and design process • Experience using generative AI systems such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT or comparable solutions • Ability to professionally evaluate AI-generated results with regard to functionality, feasibility, manufacturability and cost-effectiveness • Preferred: Experience with AI features in modern CAD systems • Preferred: Experience with Generative Design and topology optimization • Preferred: Knowledge of current developments in AI for design and engineering • Preferred: Experience optimizing development and design processes • Preferred: Knowledge of parametric variant design • Preferred: Experience with prompt engineering for technical applications • Preferred: Knowledge of data protection, copyright and responsible AI use in a corporate environment • Preferred: Experience supporting practical projects or workshops • A plus: Experience with Autodesk Fusion Generative Design or comparable solutions • A plus: Knowledge of Autodesk AI and/or SolidWorks AI • A plus: Experience with AI-assisted error detection and quality assurance • A plus: Experience with automated design-variant development • A plus: Experience with rule-based design methods or CAD automation • A plus: Knowledge of simulation, digital engineering or digital twins • A plus: Trainer aptitude certification (AEVO) or comparable teaching qualification
