📋 Description

• Deliver practical training on the fundamentals and potential of AI in engineering • Teach AI-supported working methods in the design process • Teach modern CAD workflows with AI support • Teach Generative Design and automated design variant generation • Teach AI-supported decision-making in product development • Teach AI-based error detection and quality assurance • Teach the evaluation and validation of AI-generated design results • Support the successful integration of AI into existing development and design processes • Support participants in the “Smart Design: AI Skills for CAD Professionals” qualification program • Provide a clear understanding of the entire design cycle, from requirements analysis and concept development through design, variant generation, optimization, evaluation, and documentation • Demonstrate where AI creates added value and where technical expertise, experience, and engineering judgment remain essential

🎯 Requirements

• Completed degree or technical training in mechanical engineering, design engineering, product development, or a comparable field • At least two years of professional experience in design, development, or technical engineering • Very good knowledge of at least one of the following CAD systems: Autodesk Inventor, Autodesk Fusion, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or CATIA • Experience with parametric design and modern CAD workflows • Solid understanding of product development and design processes in mechanical engineering • Practical experience using AI productively throughout the development and design process • Experience in requirements analysis and concept development • Experience developing technical solutions • Experience in design and modeling • Experience with generative design variant creation • Experience optimizing components and assemblies • Experience technically evaluating solution variants • Experience in error detection and quality improvement • Experience creating technical documentation, specifications, and bills of materials • Experience with generative AI systems such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, or comparable solutions • Ability to professionally evaluate AI-generated results with regard to functionality, feasibility, manufacturability, and cost-effectiveness • Preferred: Experience with AI features in modern CAD systems • Preferred: Experience with Generative Design and topology optimization • Preferred: Knowledge of current developments in AI for design and engineering • Preferred: Experience optimizing development and design processes • Preferred: Knowledge of parametric variant design • Preferred: Experience with Prompt Engineering for technical applications • Preferred: Knowledge of data protection, copyright, and responsible AI use in corporate environments • Preferred: Experience supporting practice-oriented projects or workshops • A plus: Experience with Autodesk Fusion Generative Design or comparable solutions • A plus: Knowledge of Autodesk AI, SolidWorks AI, or CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE AI • A plus: Experience with AI-supported error detection and quality assurance • A plus: Experience with automated design variant development • A plus: Experience with rule-based design methods or CAD automation • A plus: Knowledge of simulation, Digital Engineering, or Digital Twins • A plus: Trainer certification under the German AEVO standard or a comparable pedagogical qualification • Willingness and ability to communicate specialist knowledge in a practical, clear, and audience-focused manner
