📋 Description

• Teaching the fundamentals and potential of AI in engineering • Teaching AI-assisted working methods in the design process • Teaching modern CAD workflows supported by AI • Teaching Generative Design and automated design variant generation • Teaching AI-assisted decision support in product development • Teaching AI-based error detection and quality assurance • Assessing and validating AI-generated design results • Supporting the integration of AI into existing development and design processes • Supporting participants in developing their own use cases • Supervising practice-oriented project work • Delivering practical, accessible, and audience-focused training for professionals in design, development, and technical engineering

🎯 Requirements

• Completed degree or technical training in mechanical engineering, design engineering, product development, or a comparable field • At least five years of professional experience in design, development, or technical engineering • Excellent knowledge of at least one CAD system: Autodesk Inventor, Autodesk Fusion, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or CATIA • Experience with parametric design and modern CAD workflows • Sound understanding of product development and design processes in mechanical engineering • Practical experience using AI productively throughout the development and design process • Experience with Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, or comparable generative AI systems for design and development tasks • Ability to professionally evaluate AI-generated results with regard to functionality, feasibility, manufacturability, and cost-effectiveness • Preferred: Experience with AI features in modern CAD systems • Preferred: Experience with Generative Design and topology optimization • Preferred: Knowledge of current developments in AI for design and engineering • Preferred: Experience optimizing development and design processes • Preferred: Knowledge of parametric design variants • Preferred: Experience in prompt engineering for technical use cases • Preferred: Knowledge of data protection, copyright, and responsible AI use • Preferred: Experience supporting practice-oriented projects or workshops • A plus: Experience with Autodesk Fusion Generative Design, Autodesk AI, SolidWorks AI, or CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE AI • A plus: Experience with AI-assisted error detection, quality assurance, and automated design variant development • A plus: Experience with rule-based design methods or CAD automation • A plus: Knowledge of simulation, digital engineering, or digital twins • A plus: Trainer aptitude certification (AEVO) or comparable pedagogical qualification
