📋 Description

• Lead the design and development of complex ETL pipelines using Talend (DI / ESB / Cloud) • Own end to end delivery of integration solutions, from requirements through to production support • Make and document technical design decisions around integration patterns, performance, and scalability • Define and evolve integration standards, reusable frameworks, and best practices • Build and maintain integrations across databases, APIs, SaaS platforms, third party providers, and legacy systems • Ensure data integrity, reconciliation, and auditability, especially in regulated environments • Optimise ETL jobs for performance, reliability, and high data volumes • Implement robust logging, error handling, alerting, and recovery mechanisms • Act as a technical mentor for mid and junior developers • Conduct code reviews and enforce quality standards • Partner with product owners, business analysts, and architects to shape integration solutions • Support UAT and production go lives, including troubleshooting complex issues • Provide 3rd line support for integration issues in production • Identify legacy integration risks and drive modernisation improvements • Champion improvements in monitoring, observability, and operational resilience

🎯 Requirements

• 6–10+ years experience in ETL / data integration development • Strong, recent hands on experience with Talend (Data Integration, ESB, or Talend Cloud) • Advanced understanding of ETL design patterns • Data transformation and mapping • Batch and near real time integrations • Strong SQL skills and experience working with enterprise scale databases • Proven experience integrating with REST/SOAP APIs, file based feeds, and third party systems • Experience implementing robust error handling, logging, and reconciliation • Strong knowledge of SDLC, release management, and environment promotion • Solid understanding of version control (Git) and collaborative development practices • Appreciation of security, data protection, and compliance requirements (e.g. GDPR)
