📋 Description

• Run a continuous rhythm of customer conversations, including discovery calls, renewals, and support signals • Turn enterprise requirements into clear specifications engineering can build from, including the underlying problem • Maintain a prioritized roadmap showing what is shipping, what moved, and why • Attach expected business impact to significant roadmap items • Assess enterprise requests for criticality and whether they represent a broader pattern • Manage expectations across sales, leadership, and customers when priorities change • Define success metrics for major features and follow up after launch • Partner with tech leads on sequencing, feasibility, dependencies, and releases • Make the cost of changes in direction explicit before they reach a team • Provide engineering with customer context to enable better solutions and pushback • Balance customer-driven work with reliability and platform work • Establish the operating cadence and conventions for product planning and execution • Hire and develop PMs while remaining hands-on in owned product areas • Partner with GTM and marketing on positioning for new capabilities • Own product strategy and decision-making across the Weaviate Database, Weaviate Cloud, and agent products • Manage a small product team, likely one to three PMs over time • Work directly with the CTO on vision and with tech leads on feasibility

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years in product management, including recent hands-on individual-contributor work • Owned a roadmap directly, not only through a team • Experience with enterprise customers, including discovery, requirements gathering, and expectation management with large accounts • Track record of quantifying business impact of roadmap decisions and defending prioritization to disagreeing stakeholders • Comfortable in a technically deep domain such as databases, data infrastructure, distributed systems, or developer tools • Ability to hold your own with tech leads; an engineering background is not required • Experience running product processes in Linear or a comparable tool, with a clear opinion on setup • Strong written communication; decision-making largely occurs in documents • Some people-management experience or clear readiness to manage a team of one to three • Working hours between GMT and ET, with flexibility for occasional early or late calls • Background check required as part of onboarding
