📋 Description

• Own quality assurance across the frontend-to-middleware boundary of a multi-step web onboarding workflow • Design and execute advanced exploratory testing, especially around form-level validation and submission behavior • Apply boundary testing to frontend input handling and middleware calls • Use equivalence partitioning to design high-coverage test cases across valid, invalid, and edge-case inputs • Validate application behavior against state models, including step progression, action states, submission, and confirmation states • Lead defect triage sessions and prioritize issues by severity, impact, and reproducibility • Partner with developers to clarify root causes and confirm fixes • Mentor junior QA testers on exploratory techniques and structured test design • Contribute to test strategy documentation and coverage planning • Formalize and maintain the onboarding FSM/state-transition model • Identify decision forks, state dependencies, persona-specific variations, and boundary conditions • Validate coverage across representative onboarding personas and identify testing gaps • Produce a validated frontend/state-model evidence package for the Middleware SDET workstream • Maintain traceability between UI behavior, FSM states, decision forks, and supporting evidence

🎯 Requirements

• Solid 3-5+ years of experience as a QA Analyst with exposure to both frontend and middleware testing • Demonstrated expertise in exploratory and boundary testing methodologies • Practical experience applying equivalence partitioning and other formal test design techniques • Familiarity with state-machine / workflow-state concepts and validating multi-step systems against expected state transitions • Strong defect triage experience, including severity/priority classification and cross-team coordination • Analytical mindset with the ability to identify non-obvious edge cases • Effective communicator capable of guiding triage discussions and mentoring peers • Experience testing complex multi-step workflows, onboarding systems, registration flows, or account-creation processes is strongly preferred • Ability to translate observed application behavior into structured state-transition models or equivalent workflow representations • Working familiarity with browser and network developer tools is preferred; deep protocol-level expertise is not required
