📋 Description
• Freelance Senior Linguist collaborating on multiple accounts and programs for Welocalize. • Translate, localize, and adapt marketing and life sciences content (Investigator-facing, Patient-facing, Pharmacy, Help and UI). • Perform copy editing and linguistic QA to ensure high-quality localized content. • Work with CAT tools and translation platforms to manage and deliver projects. • Contribute to training data transformation for NLP (collecting, annotating, evaluating content) when required. • Collaborate with global teams across North America, Europe, and Asia to meet client needs.
🎯 Requirements
• Minimum 3 years' experience in translating and copy editing content in Investigator-facing, Patient-facing and/or Pharmacy material, Marketing, Help and UI content. • Professional level understanding of English (US/GB). • Native level expertise of Afrikaans as Target Language with core understanding of cultural nuances. • Well versed with CAT tools (XTM, Phrase, Trados, Jira, Smartling, etc.). • Working knowledge of MS Office applications (MS Word, MS Excel). • Desirable: Translation degree or, if other degree, 3 years of translation experience or, if no degree, 5 years of translation experience.
