📋 Description

• Manage license-related activities, including Value-Added approvals for finished-goods return products • Maintain machinery inventory reports supporting LMW and audit requirements • Oversee LMW exemption processes for machinery and equipment, raw materials, and finished goods • Coordinate annual LMW license renewals, documentation, submissions, clarifications, and Customs audits • Prepare and submit MITI and SIRIM permits for regulated inbound imports • Apply for ad hoc inbound licenses for materials outside existing exemptions • Provide Customs “greenlight” shipment approvals after authorization • Manage end-to-end inbound shipment coordination, documentation review, Customs clearance, and exceptions • Support appointed couriers with ad hoc exemptions • Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and logistics service providers • Serve as primary contact for internal shipment requestors and coordinate with buyers, planners, and operations teams • Communicate shipment status, issues, and resolution plans • Serve as Logistics Department ISO Coordinator • Support internal and external audits and track corrective actions • Identify automation and digitization opportunities and contribute to continuous improvement • Ensure shipments comply with approved licenses, exemptions, and regulatory conditions • Prepare trade analytics and operational metrics reports and presentations • Maintain trade-related databases and documentation • Support development and implementation of trade operational strategies

🎯 Requirements

• 4-6 years of hands-on experience in customs operations, import/export documentation, and international trade • Experience with customs clearance procedures, documentation management, and cross-border coordination • Experience managing complex import/export transactions and resolving compliance issues • Bachelor's degree in Business, International Trade, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (preferred) • Strong practical knowledge of LMW regulations, trade compliance, and Malaysian Customs requirements • Experience managing Exemption Lists (A1, A2, A3) and license renewals • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and resolve issues in a fast-paced environment • Automation and digital mindset, with experience improving processes using systems or data tools • Strong analytical, organizational, and documentation skills • Clear communication and ability to work effectively across functions • Proficiency in SAP and enterprise resource planning systems • Expertise in import/export documentation and customs clearance processes • Understanding of INCOTERMS, carrier and forwarder coordination, and broker interactions • Proficiency with Harmonized System (HS) codes and goods classification for customs purposes • Ability to analyze trade data and identify operational trends and opportunities • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in processing documents and ensuring regulatory compliance • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on risk mitigation • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with external partners • Organized and efficient approach to managing multiple priorities and deadlines • Proactive mindset with commitment to continuous process improvement • Resilience and adaptability in a dynamic regulatory environment
