📋 Description
• Civil / structural design activities like evaluation of soil-structure-interaction effects and characterization of dynamic soil properties • Address technical issues related to seismic analysis of building structures and fabrication, assembly, and construction phases of a civil/structural projects like technical justification of design changes and sometimes troubleshooting emergent technical issues • On-Site support at utilities and smaller projects • Analytical tools like ANSYS, LS-DYNA, GTSTRUDL, and SASSI • Aid in maintenance of software compliance records and closure of engineering corrective actions • Become familiar with applicable industry civil/structural codes like ACI, AISC, ASCE, and AWS standards and Westinghouse procedures • Develop engineering sketches and markups using AutoCAD or similar CAD programs
🎯 Requirements
• 8+ years of experience • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering -or- Structural Engineering • Nice-to have but not required: PE, FE/EIT • Nuclear industry • Seismic analysis and soil-structure-interaction analysis
