📋 Description

• Lead an engineering team for the WEX EnCompass platform applications (UIs, APIs, webhooks, and data streams). • Develop, drive and execute a long-term vision and strategy for the Corporate Payments cross-cutting and core services. • Define and implement an architectural roadmap for the EnCompass platform aligned with business objectives. • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, empowerment, and continuous learning. • Implement mechanisms to reduce time-to-market and reuse development practices across teams. • Hire, coach, promote, and retain high-performance engineering teams; maintain career growth plans and provide feedback. • Work closely with product and commercial partners to prioritize and drive customer-focused outcomes. • Drive planning and execution mechanisms (monthly, weekly, quarterly) to plan, execute, and audit workstreams.

🎯 Requirements

• Great experience in software engineering and engineering management experience. • Expertise in rapid development and deployment of internal and external services using cloud computing platforms such as AWS or Azure. • Experience writing high-quality automation, including well-formed unit, component, and integration tests and an in-depth understanding of the test pyramid. • Strong understanding of security and compliance requirements in cloud and data environments. • Excellent leadership, team-building, and dynamic decision-making skills. • Ability to deal with ambiguity and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Preferred: Experience building applications in the finance space, such as credit card products, accounts receivables/payables, etc. • Preferred: Experience working with geographically distributed teams, and ability to craft self-managing distributed teams.
