📋 Description

• Provide high-quality, evidence-informed support to tāngata whai ora and whānau impacted by family and sexual harm • Conduct assessments, identify risk factors, and support appropriate safety and support plans • Use advanced communication and counselling skills in complex situations • Provide guidance, coaching, and support to other advisors • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders and support services • Recognise and address barriers affecting access to support, wellbeing, and outcomes • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and promote best practice • Maintain accurate records and ensure service delivery meets organisational, contractual, and professional standards • Work within a dynamic 24/7 virtual health and social services organisation

🎯 Requirements

• Relevant tertiary qualification (or working towards) in counselling, psychology, social work, psychotherapy, or a related discipline, or 2+ years’ experience supporting individuals impacted by family violence or sexual harm • Working towards registration with a relevant body within the Mental Health and Addictions field • Experience of supervision or coaching • Ideally, 6+ months experience working in Telehealth or similar role, e.g. Helplines/eTherapy/F2F counselling or Therapy • In-depth understanding of family and sexual harm dynamics • Strong communication, active listening, and counselling skills • Ability to exercise sound judgement and make informed decisions in complex situations • Experience managing sensitive and challenging conversations with professionalism and empathy • Strong planning and organisational skills, with ability to manage competing priorities • Collaborative approach and ability to coach, influence, and motivate others positively • Ability to work effectively with people from diverse cultures and backgrounds • Commitment to learning, feedback, and continuous improvement • Flexibility to work a range of shifts in a 24/7 service; overnight and weekend availability highly regarded
