📋 Description

• Own the product UI/UX while working directly with the founder • Build and ship SvelteKit applications end to end, including routing, load functions, server-side rendering, form actions, and client-side state management • Write strictly typed component-level TypeScript • Implement responsive and accessible UI with Tailwind CSS, including custom design systems and component variants • Build and expose REST or RPC endpoints in Fastify with schema-based request validation, error handling, and authentication middleware • Design Postgres tables, write and roll back migrations, and write raw SQL or use Drizzle, Kysely, or Prisma for non-trivial queries • Own frontend performance, including bundle size, hydration cost, load waterfalls, and Core Web Vitals • Set up or maintain CI/CD for a Node.js/SvelteKit application: build, lint, type-check, and deploy • Debug production issues across the full stack without handing off to a backend specialist • Shape a pre-launch startup from zero alongside the founder

🎯 Requirements

• 4+ years of professional frontend engineering experience, with at least 1–2 years using SvelteKit specifically • Deep, verifiable experience in another modern reactive framework (React, Vue) is acceptable only if paired with proof of fast ramp-up on Svelte • Strict TypeScript proficiency, including generics, discriminated unions, and typing complex API responses • Working knowledge of Fastify, or deep equivalent experience in Express, Hono, or NestJS with fast ramp-up expected on Fastify's plugin and hook system • Hands-on Postgres skills: schema design, indexing basics, writing and reverting migrations, diagnosing slow queries with EXPLAIN, and using the psql CLI • Production experience with Tailwind CSS, including custom theme configuration, component abstraction, and responsive design • Public GitHub profile with relevant commit history or a live, functioning end-to-end product that can be tested directly • Ability to walk through a real production incident or bug fixed across frontend and backend • Based in Europe, working remotely, with significant working-hours overlap with a founder-led team
