• Supports the commissioning, validation and transition of customer network services. • Works closely with Project Managers, Commissioning Engineers and Network Operations. • Ensures new network deployments are fully tested, documented and operationally ready. • Maintains quality standards and supports successful project delivery. • Commissioning and validating newly deployed network infrastructure. • Supporting the onboarding of wireless access points, network switches, routers and other equipment. • Performing customer go-live validation activities. • Producing and maintaining commissioning and handover documentation. • Transitioning completed customer sites into Business as Usual (BAU) support. • Undertaking any other duties appropriate to the role.
• Good understanding of networking fundamentals. • Basic understanding of TCP/IP networking. • Knowledge of routing and switching concepts. • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. • Effective written and verbal communication skills. • Willingness to learn and develop professionally. • Degree, apprenticeship or college qualification in Computer Networks, Computer Science or a related discipline (Desirable). • Practical exposure to networking through home labs, university projects, placements or previous employment (Desirable). • Exposure to enterprise networking concepts (Desirable). • Study towards or completion of entry-level certifications such as: CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA, MikroTik MTCNA, or equivalent networking qualifications (Desirable).
