📋 Description

• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, cash flow planning, and financial reporting across monthly, quarterly, and annual cycles • Ensure strong compliance with U.S. financial regulations and standards, including GAAP, IRS requirements, SEC reporting, and SOX where applicable • Provide guidance and direction to bookkeepers and other finance support staff, ensuring work is coded and structured correctly from an accounting and tax perspective • Improve and modernize financial processes by identifying opportunities for automation and better workflow design • Research, evaluate, and implement AI-powered and finance technology tools to improve reporting speed, accuracy, forecasting, and decision-making • Help design scalable accounting and finance processes for a growing business, with a strong focus on efficiency and control • Present financial insights and recommendations clearly to company leadership and key stakeholders • Assess the operational and compliance implications of adopting new AI and financial tools, including data integrity, privacy, and audit trail considerations.

🎯 Requirements

• Strong experience in U.S. accounting, financial compliance, and reporting • Solid knowledge of U.S. GAAP, IRS regulations, and general U.S. financial controls; exposure to SEC reporting and SOX is a plus • Experience working with U.S.-based entities and advising on accounting treatment, financial structure, and compliance decisions • Ability to guide bookkeepers and finance support staff with a strong understanding of how transactions should be classified and managed • Experience improving finance processes, reporting workflows, and planning practices • Openness to AI tools, automation, and modern finance systems • Strong strategic thinking, ownership, and communication skills • Nice to Have • CPA or equivalent strong U.S. accounting certification/background • Experience in multi-entity or multi-state U.S. businesses • Experience implementing financial systems, automation, or AI-enabled finance tools
