📋 Description
• Spearhead strategic vision for advancing Machine Learning (ML) solutions and MLOps excellence • Shape the strategic ML roadmap and guide leadership on ML strategies • Architect scalable cloud systems with strong observability and maintain ML infrastructure • Lead adoption of new ML methodologies, mentor engineers, and establish team standards • Guide a team building Workiva’s Generative AI platform and empower product teams • Collaborate with product, data, and architecture teams to integrate ML solutions via APIs and design end-to-end products • Manage backlog, forecast timelines, and resolve interdependencies to ensure timely delivery • Host and monitor ML models, develop automated tests, and support production troubleshooting (including on-call) • Conduct code reviews, ensure solution quality, and communicate technical issues to diverse stakeholders
🎯 Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience • Minimum 8 years of ML engineering experience • Technical leadership experience in ML initiatives and full ML lifecycle • Experience designing and overseeing scalable, highly available ML/MLOps solutions • Experience with Generative AI and agentic frameworks (preferred) • Deep knowledge of computer science, distributed cloud systems, and databases • Proficiency in Python, Go, Java (or similar) • Experience with Git, Docker, Kubernetes • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred) • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum practices • Strong cross-functional communication skills • Experience anticipating and resolving system-level challenges and production troubleshooting • Willingness to participate in on-call support and minimal (<10%) travel • Completion of security and privacy training (required for employees)
