âą Provide single session telephonic and video counselling, in-the-moment support and crisis telephonic management in a supportive, ethical and professional manner while maintaining client-confidentiality. âą Assess clients thoroughly to ensure appropriateness for short-term counselling. âą Assess and manage high risk calls and working closely with individuals at risk. âą Appropriately refer clients to external resources or within WPO as part of our holistic approach. âą Collaboratively develop clear and concise treatment plans for clients. âą Maintain clear clinical and task-oriented documentation in case management system. âą Any additional tasks pertinent to the position, as deemed appropriate by management.
âą Social worker, Counsellor or Psychologist with accompanying Masterâs degree. âą Clinical counselling experience in English and French. âą Experience providing assessments and/or using clinical assessment tools. âą Experience using short-term counselling modalities such as Solution-Focused, CBT, Mindfulness, Integrative, Systemic counselling. âą Training in crisis intervention and supporting high risk clients beneficial. âą Ability to work with clients presenting with substance abuse, situations of crisis, mental health symptoms and/or family/relationship-related concerns impacting personal or work performance.
