âą Provide advice and specialized support on donor assurance, risk reporting, risk assessments, incident management, controls, compliance, and risk-informed decision-making âą Support Country Offices in identifying, assessing, monitoring, and escalating operational, fiduciary, programmatic, safeguarding, and contextual risks âą Develop, review, and improve country Risk Assessment and Management Plans âą Provide technical support on donor requirements, proposal development, oversight, accountability, transparency, risk mitigation, compliance monitoring, and performance reporting âą Support controls for beneficiary targeting, partner oversight, commodity and cash tracking, community feedback, safeguarding, anti-fraud, and anti-diversion measures âą Support incident reporting, investigations follow-up, root cause analysis, corrective action tracking, and escalation processes âą Facilitate fraud risk assessments and follow up on mitigation measures âą Deploy for emergency responses, sudden-onset crises, and operational scale-ups to conduct rapid risk assessments and advise management âą Support risk monitoring, assurance reviews, control assessments, partner oversight, third-party monitoring, and corrective actions from audits and oversight exercises âą Advise on safeguarding, PSEA, accountability to affected populations, community feedback, and protection considerations âą Contribute to inter-agency coordination mechanisms and humanitarian coordination structures âą Provide coaching, training, and technical guidance to Risk Officers, Risk Focal Points, and Country Office teams âą Support rapid needs assessments, early warning analysis, contingency planning, and activation processes âą Analyze risk, monitoring, assessment, and operational data to identify emerging risks and strengthen accountability and assurance
âą Advanced University degree in business/public administration, finance, accounting, international development, audit, or another relevant field, OR First University degree with additional years of relevant work experience and/or training/courses in audit, performance and risk management or related fields âą Relevant postgraduate professional experience in risk management, audit, monitoring and/or related fields âą Background and interest in international humanitarian development âą Fluency (level C) in English âą Intermediate knowledge (level B) of a second official UN language: Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, Spanish, and/or Portuguese âą Experience in enterprise risk management, internal controls, compliance, audit follow-up, or assurance functions âą Experience supporting humanitarian field operations âą Experience with monitoring systems, community feedback mechanisms, incident management processes, or investigations follow-up âą Knowledge of risk assessments, risk registers, incident management, and accountability frameworks âą Familiarity with cash-based transfers, partner management, safeguarding/PSEA, fraud and anti-corruption controls, and donor compliance requirements âą Strong stakeholder management, analytical, facilitation, and reporting skills âą Ability to deploy rapidly and work in multicultural and high-pressure operational environments âą CV and Cover Letter required at application stage âą Successful candidates undergo rigorous reference and background checks
