📋 Description

• Solve interesting and large-scale backend technical challenges • Help determine how the engineering team can improve its practices • Identify opportunities to innovate and optimize • Understand customer needs and deliver innovative, robust solutions in collaboration with the Product Owner and stakeholders • Support customers operationally when issues are escalated by the Client Services team • Engineer backend infrastructure for reliable, scalable, mass-market hosting services • Deliver high-quality software frequently and iteratively using Agile principles • Work in autonomous teams responsible for their part of the xneelo ecosystem

🎯 Requirements

• Passion for designing and developing backend software and APIs • Object-oriented programming using a language such as Ruby • Software development in a Linux/Unix environment • Software development using a containerization platform such as Docker or Kubernetes • Knowledge of Agile development practices, including automated tests, refactoring, continuous integration, and pair programming • Effective communication • Self-motivation and self-management • Commitment to lifelong learning • Minimum 4+ years of software development experience • Minimum 2 years supporting a large-scale application in an operational capacity • BSc majoring in Computer Science is advantageous, but demonstrated ability to write quality backend software ultimately counts • Experience with security-focused software development is advantageous • Experience with Rancher, Docker Swarm, or other container orchestration platforms is advantageous • Understanding of database design and performance tuning, including MySQL and Redis, is advantageous • Experience with DevOps on a Linux-based platform is advantageous • Experience with system administration on a Linux-based platform is advantageous
