📋 Description

• Design and implement scalable data pipelines, data warehouses, and data lakes to efficiently capture, store, and process large volumes of healthcare data from diverse sources. • Lead the development and deployment of advanced analytics models, including machine learning and predictive modeling, to identify trends, predict risks, and optimize pricing, underwriting, and claims processes. • Collaborate with cross-functional IT, vendor and business teams across the organization to translate data insights into actionable business strategies, improving customer and provider experience and operational efficiency. • Contribute to the development of a world-class data platform that supports data science, analytics, product, and engineering needs across the company. • Champion and ensure the privacy and security of our customers' data. • Provide leadership and guidance to your teams, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and accountability. • Own Data Jira boards that include creating stories, assigning responsibility, and reporting progress. • Security and Compliance: Ensure that all solutions adhere to industry standards, including HIPAA compliance and data security best practices. • Quality Assurance: Work with the Quality Engineering team to ensure that solutions are thoroughly tested and meet quality standards before deployment. • Performance Optimization: Continuously assess and optimize system performance, identifying and addressing potential bottlenecks and areas for improvement. • Innovation: Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends, identifying opportunities to leverage new solutions to improve our products and services. • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the architecture function.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. • 7+ years of experience leading engineering teams. • 9+ years of experience building big data systems handling at-scale data ingestion, processing, and/or storage in AWS Stack. • Strong understanding of software architecture principles, design patterns, and best practices. • Demonstrated ability to translate complex business requirements into a well-executed technical roadmap. • Experience with data science platforms, machine learning infrastructure, data governance, and/or managing regulated data is preferred. • Expertise in statistical modeling, machine learning algorithms, and predictive analytics. • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to effectively translate complex data insights to non-technical audiences. • A willingness to "roll up your sleeves" and do whatever is necessary to ensure company success. • Experience working in a rapidly evolving startup environment. • Knowledge of healthcare data standards and regulations such as HIPAA and FHIR. • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
