📋 Description

• Train clients to be independent with the goal of job acquisition, successful community integration, goal setting, and job readiness • Understand how to implement person-centered planning • Act as a program monitor to assigned clients, providing advocacy as needed • Maintain a professional relationship with family members, employers, and funding sources • Develop and implement instructional plans, social skill training and provide interventions as needed • Complete all required documentation and reports • Maintain complete and accurate case files • Ensure compliance with safety and confidentiality • Acts as a mandated abuse reporter

🎯 Requirements

• High school diploma or GED • Minimum of one year of related experience working with adults with developmental disabilities • CPR and First Aid certifications, or willing to obtain within first 30 days of employment • Must have a good working knowledge and experience in Microsoft WORD and Excel • Must be willing to learn new skills • Ability to understand and relate to individuals with disabilities, their families, the community • Ability to observe, evaluate, document, and communicate verbally and in writing • Ability to teach good work habits and social skills to individuals with developmental disabilities in a variety of settings • Ability to be flexible with scheduling and prioritization of tasks • Must pass CHP VDDP, Drug/Alcohol Test, Background
