📋 Description

• Start and develop a new Young Life area/ministry in Iceland • Implement actions to carry out Young Life’s mission of introducing kids to Jesus Christ and helping them grow in their faith • Provide spiritual leadership through prayer, spiritual disciplines, fellowship, church relationships, and personal growth planning • Lead teams and individuals in spiritual development • Develop regional teams for sustainable growth in developing areas • Recruit, train, and supervise committee members, staff, and volunteers • Cast vision for summer staff, work crew, and adult guests for summer camps • Develop donor, supporter, alumni, and community relationships • Implement and review TDS plans, prospect lists, strategies, and financial master plans • Raise adequate financial support and manage ministry finances according to Young Life policies • Develop healthy Young Life ministries using contact work, club, Campaigners, and camp methods • Develop camping opportunities that maximize Gospel proclamation • Define ministry geography and create startup plans using small-town tools • Communicate growth plans to regional, area, and leadership teams • Accept short- and long-term assignments, including task forces, writing or speaking assignments, and regional events

🎯 Requirements

• College degree preferred • Experience and a successful record starting Young Life in new areas • Must have completed Core Training — Phase One • Proven relational skills with both kids and adults • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills • Ability to maintain confidentiality • Pioneering spirit and ability to cast vision and pull resources together to start the next ministry and reach the next kid • Must profess a belief in Jesus Christ as personal Savior and Lord and subscribe to Young Life’s Statement of Faith • Must be willing to fulfill required ministry functions and abide by Young Life policies and practices • Must be willing to serve approximately one month on a summer assignment at a Young Life camp, other Young Life camp, or another directed position • Considerable time, up to six months per year, expected to be spent in Iceland
