📋 Description

• Creating a world-leading payments platform, beloved by engineers, our merchants and their customers • Constantly improving and shipping new software • Collaborating and supporting your peers to create a team environment and alignment to our purpose • Being passionate about processes for writing, reviewing and thinking about scalable, secure, accessible and optimised code • Collaborating with dedicated Security, Platform and Incident Management teams to support a platform that is mission-critical to our customers, in a heavily regulated industry • Providing technical insight to the customer support and onboarding teams • Participating in our on-call rotation supporting mission-critical systems • Embracing the way we work with AI: play a hands-on role in integrating AI into how we work – embracing the setup, documentation, and cross-team alignment of AI tools so our processes are scalable, structured, efficient and built to last beyond any one person.

🎯 Requirements

• Solid experience in a back-end language and API development. Ruby is our core stack and therefore preferred, though not essential. • Strong fundamentals and a willingness to learn matter more to us. • Some experience with front-end development is a bonus. • Experience in building solutions using cloud-based technologies. • Experience applying strong engineering practices such as test-driven development and continuous delivery, ideally within event-driven systems, microservice architectures and data streaming platforms. • Able to be effective in a collaborative team environment. • Someone who looks at challenging situations through a solutions-focused lens. • Ability to work productively in a fast-paced and agile environment.
