📋 Description

• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain enterprise applications using PowerBuilder. • Implement new product features and resolve defects while maintaining high coding standards. • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following software engineering best practices. • Incorporate unit testing into the development process to ensure software quality and reliability. • Build scalable, maintainable solutions using object-oriented principles and design patterns. • Propose technical and architectural solutions for new product features. • Participate in technical design discussions and document software architecture. • Ensure solutions align with overall technology strategy and business objectives. • Perform root cause analysis for complex technical issues and recommend long-term improvements. • Serve as a technical resource for development teams, helping resolve challenging technical problems. • Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, estimation sessions, and Agile ceremonies. • Provide effort estimates and technical input for future product enhancements. • Communicate technical risks, dependencies, and scope changes to stakeholders. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software on schedule. • Manage source control, builds, packaging, and deployment processes. • Utilize Azure DevOps, Git, and modern source control systems throughout the development lifecycle. • Support continuous improvement of development practices, code quality, and delivery processes. • Work closely with QA teams by providing risk assessments and supporting testing activities. • Create clear technical documentation, implementation designs, and architectural diagrams. • Communicate technical concepts effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. • Collaborate closely with Product, QA, UX, and Business teams throughout the development lifecycle. • Contribute to a collaborative engineering culture focused on continuous improvement.

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years of professional software development experience. • Extensive experience developing enterprise applications using **PowerBuilder**. • Strong experience with **C#, C++, or another object-oriented programming language**. • Experience working with **SQL Server** (Sybase experience is a plus). • Experience building and maintaining desktop applications. • Experience working with cloud-based solutions. • Experience working in Agile, Scrum, Lean, or Kanban development environments. • Experience with **Azure DevOps**, **Git**, or modern source control systems. • Strong understanding of software architecture, object-oriented design, and design patterns. • Experience with the complete Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including: • - Unit testing • - Code reviews • - Version control • - Build processes • - Deployment • - Continuous Integration • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Excellent organizational and time management abilities. • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within distributed teams. • Strong written and verbal English communication skills. • Nice-to-Haves • Experience with Sybase databases. • Experience designing desktop and cloud hybrid solutions. • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices. • Experience mentoring developers or acting as a technical lead. • Experience creating technical architecture documentation and design specifications. • Experience working within enterprise software or highly regulated industries. • Knowledge of software packaging and deployment automation. • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
