📋 Description

• Monthly tax calculation and assessment • Tax assessment for companies under Brazil’s Simples Nacional and Presumed Profit regimes • Calculation and review of DAS, PIS, COFINS, IRPJ, CSLL, and ISS • Analysis of effective Simples Nacional tax rates • Review of clients’ monthly revenue • Import, review, and processing of service invoices • Review of issued invoices and identification of inconsistencies • Calculation and review of ISS, taking municipal requirements into account • Issuance and provision of tax payment slips • Preparation, review, and submission of ancillary tax obligations • Monitoring of compliance calendars and due dates • Management of tax-related outstanding items across the client portfolio • Analysis of tax status and identification of discrepancies • Consultation and monitoring of tax liabilities, installment plans, and outstanding matters with the relevant authorities • Handling and resolution of tax notices and inconsistencies • Support for tax regularization processes • Updating information and internal controls for monthly closing • Integration of Tax Department information with the Accounting, Payroll, and Legal departments • Document organization and maintenance of clients’ tax records • Handling internal requests related to the assigned client portfolio • Work at an accounting firm specializing exclusively in the Brazilian legal sector, serving attorneys, law firms, and legal practices throughout Brazil

🎯 Requirements

• Completed or ongoing degree in Accounting • Experience or knowledge in tax departments • Knowledge of Brazil’s Simples Nacional and Presumed Profit regimes • Knowledge of taxation for service-provider companies • Knowledge of federal and municipal tax assessment • Knowledge of invoice issuance and review • Strong analytical skills • Excellent organization and rigorous deadline management • Comfortable working with accounting systems and spreadsheets • Strong communication skills • Proactivity and problem-solving ability • Knowledge of, or ability to develop expertise in, the main tax filings and ancillary tax obligations • 3 to 5 years of professional experience is preferred • Knowledge of the Domínio system is a plus • Experience with law firms and service-provider companies is a plus • Knowledge of tax specifics applicable to legal practices is a plus • Experience managing a high volume of clients and monthly closings is a plus • Knowledge of tax regularization and analysis of outstanding tax matters is a plus
