Beschreibung

• Safely and efficiently operate the 700 HP Lugger tugboat and support equipment • Implement the Company’s safety and environmental policy and motivate the crew to follow it • Issue clear and concise orders and review safety and pollution prevention activities • Report vessel defects, non-conformities, accidents, hazardous situations, and pollution risks to the Company • Appraise and coordinate on-board training requirements with the Company • Keep safety information current and available to the crew • Review contingency plans and ship procedures and report deficiencies • Request Company assistance as necessary for safe, pollution-free vessel operation • Provide employee scheduling information to the crew • Maintain the vessel budget and maximize cost efficiency as directed • Complete required log entries and maintain radio watch • Assign and direct the mate and/or lead deckhand • Manage crew members and ensure completion of required duties • Support maintenance and repair of shallow-water oil and gas wells while pushing a barge with equipment

🎯 Anforderungen

• Experience as a U.S.C.G. MOTV licensed Captain with towing endorsements for Western Rivers, Oceans, and/or Near Coastal waters • Valid TWIC; receipts not accepted • Valid driver’s license • Ability to work in all types of weather conditions • Ability to carry, push/pull, and/or lift materials weighing up to 75 pounds • Ability to meet USCG physical examination requirements • Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable workplace accommodation • Ability to wear and properly utilize required personal protective equipment (PPE) • Must be able to walk, step, climb, and move between job-site locations of varying heights and access parameters • Employment offer contingent on satisfactory reference review, drug-screen completion, and full background-investigation analysis
