Beschreibung

• Handle first-party property claims of high severity and complexity up to $150,000, with possible handling of larger losses as business needs require • Investigate, evaluate, estimate and negotiate personal or business property claims • Complete field inspections, scope damages, take photographs, and prepare written or computer-assisted estimates • Use innovative technologies and cost evaluation tools to assess damages • Analyze policies, leases, contracts, by-laws and other documents affecting coverage, damages, business interruption and liability • Secure recorded or written statements • Establish timely and accurate claim and expense reserves • Determine settlement amounts using estimates, actual cash value, replacement value, contractor validation, appraisals, limits and deductibles • Negotiate settlements with contractors, insureds' representatives and other constituents within authority limits • Write denial letters, Reservation of Rights and other complex correspondence • Maintain claim diaries, required data and documentation in claim files • Manage file inventory for timely resolution and comply with state regulations • Provide customer service to insureds, agents, internal customers and business partners • Refer claims to Travelers Investigative Services, Subrogation Unit and Major Case Unit as appropriate • Perform administrative functions including expense accounts and time-off reporting • Mentor and coach less experienced claim professionals • Attend depositions, mediations, arbitrations, pre-trials, trials and other legal proceedings as needed • Obtain experts and assist the Litigation Claim Unit • Participate in the Catastrophe Response Program and deploy to other states when required • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Anforderungen

• Bachelor's Degree • High School Diploma or GED • Three years of Personal Insurance or Business Insurance Property claim handling experience • General knowledge of estimating system Xactimate • Advanced customer service, interpersonal, organizational and time management skills • Advanced ability to work independently • Advanced judgment, analytical and decision-making skills • Advanced negotiation skills • Advanced written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills • Advanced investigative skills • Advanced ability to analyze and determine coverage • Advanced ability to analyze and evaluate damages • Advanced ability to resolve claims within settlement authority • Valid passport • Valid driver's license • Insurance License(s) and/or UAS Remote Pilot Certification may be required; generally required insurance licenses must be obtained within three months of starting • Ongoing continuing education requirements for insurance licenses must be maintained • Ability to access and inspect all areas of a dwelling or structure • Ability to carry, set up and climb a 38- to 49-pound ladder, walk on roofs, and enter tight spaces • Ability to participate in the Catastrophe Response Program, including deployment away for a minimum of 16 days • Must secure and maintain a company credit card
