📋 Description

• Provide technical support to Abbott’s customer base across the Midlands • Handle installations and deinstallations • Perform repairs and instrument hardware or software upgrades • Provide basic training to customers and Abbott Ambassadors • Schedule and perform planned maintenance activities • Perform new customer and laboratory site inspections for contract/tender preparations and new-installation design • Conduct or assist with installation of instruments, AbbottLink, and automation • Perform IQOQ procedures during and after installation • Assist with customer business reviews • Schedule, perform, and document hardware and software updates (TSBs) • Deliver basic customer operator introductory training after installations or hardware/software upgrades • Provide basic technical coaching and training to other Technical Service Specialists

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required • Bachelor’s / Engineering degree in medical, electrical, mechanical or medical technology preferred • Proven track record in a similar position, supported by management and customer references • Successful engagement with customers, specifically key stakeholders, and lab staff • Excellent product and industry knowledge • Excellent experience and process skills of the business functions service delivery • Excellent communication skills • Ability to identify and drive resolution of issues • Technical expertise for product line responsibility • Coaching and training skills • Excellent experience in use of analytical tools and software • Willingness and ability to travel 75% of the time • Ability to drive a personal auto or company car or truck, or a powered piece of material handling equipment
