📋 Description

• Own the vision, strategy and execution roadmap for identity, authentication and authorisation across SMB and Enterprise • Drive delivery and outcomes for the Authentication & Authorisation team • Roll out a new identity platform across Enterprise offerings • Define and execute a migration strategy between the SMB legacy service and Enterprise architecture • Update legacy authentication services while reducing risk and technical debt • Maintain high security, compliance, performance and trust • Partner with Product, Security, Compliance and Core Platform teams to align priorities and manage dependencies • Guide technical discussions and complex architectural trade-offs • Improve software development, operational excellence, quality and ways of working • Hire, coach and grow a high-performing team of 6–10 software engineers • Report to the VP of Engineering • Strengthen delivery rhythm and operational excellence • Deliver migration and modernisation milestones and clarify a sustainable path between SMB and Enterprise authentication architectures

🎯 Requirements

• Solid experience as an Engineering Manager or equivalent people-lead role, including coaching and performance support • Strong hands-on technical depth in authentication and authorisation domains and standards such as OAuth, SAML and OIDC • Experience with modern identity platforms such as Amazon Cognito, Auth0 or Stytch within a product-centric organisation • Architectural credibility and a track record guiding teams through technical complexity, migrations and legacy constraints • Strong stakeholder management across engineering, product and risk-focused partners • Clear and consistent communication • Ability to lead through ambiguity and create momentum • Background as a software architect or staff-level engineer before moving into people leadership (nice to have) • Experience in security- or compliance-sensitive domains (nice to have) • Experience scaling teams through hiring and clear ownership while maintaining delivery quality (nice to have) • Application must be submitted in English • Must have the legal right to work in the chosen location
