📋 Description

• Develop an exhaustive understanding of customers’ businesses and decision-making drivers • Connect Pure Storage and ecosystem technology solutions to measurable customer business outcomes • Partner with account managers, specialists, and channel partners to create customer strategies that drive revenue growth and net new business • Present the advantages of Pure Storage solutions • Refine sales strategy and tactics while taking technical responsibility • Provide technical leadership and domain expertise on storage products, distributed storage architectures, file systems, and DAS, NAS, and SAN offerings • Lead evaluations, benchmarks, and system configurations • Build and deliver technical product and architecture presentations to customers and prospective accounts • Capture requirements and translate customer business needs into innovative solutions • Author responses to RFIs and RFPs • Identify opportunities for interoperability, functional, and performance testing and validation • Promote roadmap and planning exchanges • Liaise with product and technical marketing to produce alliance-supporting materials • Stay current with competitors and maintain differentiated solution positioning • Track market trends and competitive landscape to promote thought leadership • Lead by example through Pure Values: Persistence, Creativity, Teamwork, Ownership, and Customer-first

🎯 Requirements

• Pre-sales experience is required • 5 or more years of relevant experience across technology, design, and communications required • Experience supporting sales of enterprise storage, networking, systems, cloud, or software to enterprise accounts preferred • Deep understanding of multi-tiered client/server and web-based computing solution architecture, design, and implementation • Experience targeting new prospects and converting them into clients • Experience contributing to or leading RFP, RFQ, and RFI responses • Superior knowledge of storage architectures including FC, iSCSI, NAS, OSD, and SAN • Knowledge of Linux, NFS file systems, and Linux distributed network environments • AWS, Azure, and GCP familiarity a plus • Experience installing and configuring distributed computing, multiprocessing, virtual memory, storage subsystems, shared memory architectures, cache architectures, and windowing systems • Containers, Kubernetes, and microservices architecture familiarity a plus • Strong knowledge of Cloud Native, On-Prem, Public Cloud, provisioning automation, and containers • Knowledge of VMware, Local Area Networking, Ethernet, TCP/IP, and general networking • Excellent verbal and written interpersonal skills • BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, another technical degree, and/or equivalent experience • Familiarity with modern web architecture, including LAMP stack, scale-out versus scale-up architectures, AWS Well-Architected Framework, and microservices architecture, noted as a plus • Curiosity and passion for technology and explaining new technology platforms and concepts to customers • Familiarity with storage-intensive applications such as structured databases, SQL, and Oracle highly desirable
