📋 Description

• Join the Origination & New Products squad within Sell Side Growth • Own architecture-level decisions for integration-heavy systems connecting Origination & New Products to Rosso, Data, and Billing • Help ship the first new product category live and generating qualified pipeline within six months • Help automate tendering processes that limit the volume the team can quote • Productize a manual and error-prone pricing process • Design deal-gating risk tooling for new commercial risk categories • Build within the React/TypeScript and Python/AWS serverless stack • Turn commercially driven, undefined problems into shippable plans • Deliver across team boundaries and dependencies without direct authority • Design, build, and ship difficult parts of new-product initiatives, primarily backend with frontend work when needed • Write clean, well-tested code • Participate in code reviews • Improve team practices and documentation

🎯 Requirements

• Deep technical depth in backend and systems design • Track record of owning architecture-level decisions on complex, integration-heavy systems • Proficiency with Python • Proficiency with AWS serverless technologies, including Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, and EventBridge • Experience with event-driven architectures • Ability to turn an ambiguous problem slice into a shippable plan without a full specification • Experience delivering work involving critical dependencies owned by teams over which the candidate has no authority • Proven product delivery experience as a Full Stack or Backend Engineer in a startup or fast-paced product environment • Ownership of complex projects from start to finish • React/TypeScript exposure is a plus • Experience mentoring engineers or setting technical direction is desirable • Experience in energy, fintech, or another regulated, high-stakes commercial domain is desirable • Exposure to workflow orchestration, event-driven systems, or real-time pricing engines is desirable • Experience originating new product lines from scratch is desirable • Ability to speak, read, and write English fluently • Must be able to work from the United Kingdom or otherwise be authorized to work from the country of residence
