• Drive sustainable revenue growth by developing and executing strategic business development plans aligned to commercial objectives and pipeline targets. • Identify, engage and convert new business opportunities across mid-market and enterprise organisations through targeted prospecting, account planning and relationship building. • Build, manage and progress a high-quality pipeline of opportunities, applying strong commercial judgement and maintaining momentum throughout the sales cycle. • Explore new market segments, customer needs and growth opportunities, including strategic partnerships where they support broader business goals. • Collaborate with colleagues across Marketing, Product and Customer Success to develop compelling customer propositions and ensure a smooth transition from acquisition to onboarding. • Contribute commercial insight, market intelligence and strategic recommendations that help shape Trainline Business's approach to growth and market expansion. • Support the development of scalable commercial processes, frameworks and playbooks that improve consistency, efficiency and long-term performance. • Represent Trainline Business externally, building trusted relationships with senior decision-makers and positioning Trainline as a valued business travel partner.
• A strong track record of delivering new business growth within a B2B sales, business development or commercial role, ideally in a SaaS, technology, travel or mobility-focused environment. • Experience engaging and influencing senior stakeholders, with the ability to build credibility, trust and long-term commercial relationships. • Strong commercial acumen and a history of achieving ambitious revenue, pipeline or growth objectives through a strategic and data-informed approach. • Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills, enabling you to navigate complex commercial conversations with confidence. • Experience managing opportunities through a structured sales process, supported by effective use of CRM and pipeline management tools; Salesforce experience would be helpful. • The ability to identify emerging opportunities, translate market insights into action and balance strategic thinking with hands-on delivery. • A proactive, resilient and self-motivated approach, with the confidence to operate effectively in a fast-paced and evolving business environment. • A collaborative mindset and a genuine enthusiasm for helping build new capabilities, improve ways of working and contribute to the ongoing success of the wider commercial team.
