📋 Description

• Manage a portfolio of partnership projects, ensuring delivery against agreed objectives, budgets, timelines and quality standards • Develop project plans, monitor progress, identify risks and adapt approaches as contexts and priorities change • Maintain strong, trusted relationships with partners as their primary day-to-day point of contact • Support collaborative planning, problem-solving and decision-making with partners to maximise impact and sustainability • Ensure projects align with organisational priorities and donor commitments • Lead project monitoring and reporting and track progress and impact • Develop and strengthen monitoring, evaluation and learning approaches, frameworks and tools • Analyse project results and learning to inform decision-making, adaptive management and future programme design • Coordinate partner and consultant contributions to monitoring, reporting and learning processes • Support donor relationships and respond to information requests • Coordinate donor reporting and ensure contractual compliance • Monitor project budgets, expenditure and forecasts with finance colleagues and partners • Review financial and narrative reports and address issues or risks • Manage a roster of technical consultants and specialists • Scope, commission and oversee consultancy assignments for quality and value for money • Coordinate consultant inputs alongside partner workplans and project objectives • Contribute to systems, processes and tools supporting effective programme delivery • Collaborate across teams to strengthen organisational learning, efficiency and impact

🎯 Requirements

• At least five years' experience managing complex projects or programmes in the non-profit, international development, human rights, humanitarian or related sectors • Experience managing institutional donor-funded projects and grants from design and start-up through to delivery, reporting and close-out • Experience managing project budgets and financial reporting • Experience building and managing effective partnerships with diverse stakeholders • Experience managing partnerships remotely, including in complex, high-risk or rapidly changing environments • Experience coordinating consultants, technical specialists or external service providers • Experience developing or implementing monitoring, evaluation and learning approaches • Strong project and programme management skills, including planning, risk management and delivery oversight • Excellent relationship management, communication and stakeholder engagement skills • Strong financial management and budget monitoring capability • Ability to develop practical systems and processes where they do not already exist • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Excellent written communication skills, including report writing and donor communications • Ability to work independently and effectively within a remote, internationally distributed team • Adaptable and proactive, comfortable navigating changing priorities, ambiguity and evolving circumstances • Collaborative and solutions-focused, with strong personal accountability • Culturally sensitive and able to work effectively across diverse contexts • Strong judgement and discretion when handling sensitive information • Experience working with civil society, community-based or grassroots organisations • Experience managing projects in conflict-affected, politically sensitive or fragile contexts • Experience managing multi-country programmes or partnership portfolios • Experience with subgrant management • Experience supporting organisational learning and adaptive programming • Knowledge of safeguarding, duty of care and risk management • Familiarity with participatory, qualitative or outcome-focused MEL approaches • Understanding of equitable partnership and localisation approaches • A recognised project management qualification (e.g. PMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent) • Relevant additional language skills
