📋 Description

• Review realistic environmental legal matters and compare multiple blinded legal work products • Review matters arising under the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) • Assess the legal sufficiency of environmental review materials and draft Environmental Impact Statements • Evaluate environmental impacts, alternatives, relevant considerations, and applicable NEPA requirements • Identify substantive omissions, unsupported conclusions, weaknesses, or issues affecting environmental-review defensibility • Review CERCLA legal work, including liability, contribution, potentially responsible parties, remediation costs, and environmental liability disputes • Assess CERCLA contribution claims, defence strategies, and liability-allocation analyses • Review six blinded legal deliverables labelled A–F and complete five head-to-head comparisons against a common comparator output • Select stronger responses based on substantive legal quality • Evaluate correctness, completeness, judgement, coherence, supporting reasoning, and practical usefulness • Provide concise, specific written reasoning for every preference decision • Follow project instructions and evaluation criteria consistently

🎯 Requirements

• Qualified lawyer with substantive professional experience in environmental law • Strong experience in one or more of: NEPA, Environmental Impact Statements, CERCLA, environmental liability, CERCLA contribution claims, liability allocation and defence • Strong environmental legal analysis skills • Ability to evaluate legal work holistically for correctness, completeness, judgement, and practical usefulness • Precise written English • Comfortable comparing competing legal approaches and explaining preference decisions • Able to work independently against detailed written instructions and deadlines • Must comply with NDA and confidentiality requirements • External AI tools must not be used on project materials • Must not use confidential or proprietary information belonging to any employer, client, institution, or other third party • H1-B and STEM OPT support is unavailable for this engagement
