📋 Description

• Lead the Fannie Mae Delegated Underwriting and Servicing (DUS) agency lending platform • Set strategic direction, build operational excellence, and drive production goals for the Fannie Mae business line • Advocate for DUS lenders through participation in the DUS CEO peer group • Set annual production goals with senior management and monitor performance • Partner with Fannie Mae Customer Engagement on waiver requests, pricing, guide changes, and transaction structuring • Oversee underwriting, processing, and closing functions while maintaining high credit standards and client satisfaction • Manage a portfolio exceeding $1B in Fannie Mae and balance sheet loans, including permanent, construction, and bridge financing • Vet, size, and quote new loan requests to improve turnaround and deal capture • Attract and retain developers and multifamily investors using construction and bridge lending expertise • Develop client, broker, and property-level databases to support pipeline stability and origination volume • Cultivate internal referral relationships across branch networks and departments • Assist Relationship Managers with marketing, waiver/pricing requests, and asset management issues • Establish correspondent relationships with lenders and brokers • Monitor industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive dynamics • Represent the organization at industry forums, conferences, and community events

🎯 Requirements

• Undergraduate degree required; graduate degree preferred • 15+ years of experience in Banking, Finance, or related field • 10+ years of experience in multifamily agency lending, including Fannie Mae DUS programs • Proven ability to lead and grow an origination platform • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and analytical skills • Demonstrated ability to develop and manage talent • Superior client relationship and sales skills • Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks • Strong credit training and underwriting expertise • Proven track record in originating and closing complex transactions • Ability to interact effectively with senior executives internally and externally • Deep knowledge of Fannie Mae DUS program guidelines and agency lending processes • Strong credit analysis and underwriting expertise for multifamily transactions • Proven ability to manage large loan portfolios and complex deal structures • Exceptional leadership and team development capabilities • Strategic thinking with ability to influence industry peers and advocate for platform enhancements • Advanced relationship-building and negotiation skills with clients and internal stakeholders • Ability to balance risk management with business growth objectives • Strong organizational and multitasking skills to manage competing priorities effectively
